As we all know, April showers bring May flowers, but something else that April brings is the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. For those of you who don’t know what Coachella is, it is an annual music and arts festival that takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA, located in the Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley, Colorado Desert.
Spread out between two weekends are multiple artist with shows on multiple stages throughout the desert valley. During this time, you can expect to see all of your favorite actors, actresses, singers, etc. posting pictures and videos on either Snapchat, Instagram or both. After viewing these photos, there is no way that you wouldn’t have a huge case of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). I mean let’s be very real, these outfits and looks are to DIE for!
With fun times come heavy expenses. Whether you choose to take the more lavish route with VIP access and a super sweet place to stay can run you about $5,332 the whole trip. If you are one to choose the more feasible route (no one would blame you for that), the whole trip would be about $1,006. From $5,332 to $1,006, that is a pretty big gap. Are we saying that it is super cheap? Not one bit but, it is a little better if you are wanting to make Coachella a dream come true.
This past weekend, April 14th – 16th was weekend 1 and let’s just say the attendance was out of this world. According to billboard.com , Coachella drew in a large international audience with representation from seventeen countries. The top dogs happened to be from Canada, U.K., Australia, Mexico and the Netherlands. If that isn’t pretty neat, I’m not sure what is! When something so great gets good publicity comes great rewards, being the 125% jump in international sales alone. Domestically, Californians take the lead while New York, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada follow.
So we know about the legit artist, super cool celebrity appearances, and worldly melting pot that all happens at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, is there much more that we need for convincing? I’m in!
Now all I need to do is start saving now and maybe in 2-3 years I can live the full experience for weekend…maybe…
